      Analyze the physiological implications of the Galphaq-mTORC1 axis in the modulation of the process of autophagy, consolidating a new research line in the laboratory based on the results obtained during the stay in Dr. Cuervo’s Lab (NY). Design & perform experiments in cells and mouse models. Implement the ex vivo liver explant protocol to study autophagy in different nutrient contexts upon treatment with different drugs and inhibitors. Writing scientific articles and competitive grant proposals.       Main responsibilities:• Identification of the needs of cancer patients in the different territories through the AECC provincial headquarters.• Design, plan, optimize & execute the new AECC grant model for the creation of Charts focused on improvement of oncologic patient care.• Design the grant proposal application: Terms and conditions of the call, templates, cost guidance, compatibilities, evaluation guidance.• Design and coordinate the evaluation process of applications: Contact with international experts in humanization-related disciplines (psico-oncology, physiotherapy, grief management, cronic and pediatric care) to create the Expert Evaluation Panel. Contact with patients of the Patient Advocacy AECC program to create the Patient Evaluation Panel.• Dissemination of the call for proposals to different audiences: Researchers, AECC personnel, Patients. • Analysis of gender related data across all AECC fellowships and grants across a 5 year period.• Identification of the main gaps in terms of gender differences in grants awarded, career stabilization, researchers age, calls terms and conditions.• Scientific projects general management: Terms and conditions revision, improvements identification, scientific deliverables revision, evaluation committees organization.• Scientific projects follow up in telematic and on-site meetings to evaluate the scientific advances of the different projects and identify researchers needs to be solved by the Scientific Foundation.Key Achievements:• Set up and lead a new call for the AECC Chart development in collaboration with spanish universities• Established 10 charts AECC-University supported by 10 different provincial headquarters• Develop a gender differences analysis across the AECC calls• Design and set up of different measures to decrease the gender gap in scientific projects allocation and accelerate the stabilization of women in their oncological research career.
