      Reading Coordinator

      As a Reading Coordinator, responsibilities included connecting volunteers with children in underserved communities, assisting in the children’s overall holistic development and assessing and inputting the data of their progress over the course of eight weeks. Over this time, in total, 2,182 books were read by 60 children who challenged the notion of “summer slide.” All 60 children, by the end of the summer, maintained or increased their reading ability by at least one level, if not more.
