      Arrange pre-season meetings with Product Line Managers and Senior Development to identify development needs and materials trends. Research best materials sources and solutions from global source base to meet their need. This may include working with Nike Liaison office personnel, NTS Agent or directly with vendor. Develop textiles accordingly and present to category developers for approval. Initiate testing of sample materials and communicate results to all involved. Follow up with request for subsequent submits if needed until material is approved. Negotiate price, minimums and production lead time. This may include re-sourcing material due to price or source constraint. In this case, communication to coordinate phase out old material was required. Ensure comparable Basics such as fleece available globally from different source bases. Lastly, take down fabrics used from AMS (Promo) and redevelop to make affordable for retail consumer market (NTS). Responsible for communication of materials reports to vendors to reduce lead times. Work with vendor, factory and NTS to solve variety of issues. This may include, long lead time preparation, capacity constraints, quality issues, delivery, yarn availability, excess materials resolve. Prepared for and participated in critical seasonal Global Pricing Process for key vendors. This includes researching raw material cost, identifying and breaking down all cost of manufacturing process.       Since December 2015 I have been contracting at Nike, Inc, Global Materials Apparel (GLAM), developing materials for Sport and Sportswear. My role has been diverse and ever changing. December 2015, started off developing materials for Sport, Global Running. After three months, moved to Men's Training / Pro. Most recently Sportswear, assisting in Nike LAB and lastly full responsibility for Nike SB and Young Athletes. Currently, developing all textiles / prints for Men's JORDAN apparel inline and collaborations. Below, a very simplified description of my role. Work collaboratively with Design and Product Management in developing seasonal and strategic materials palette. Create and execute a material (textile), and/or garment treatment from design conception to fully approved commercialized product within required timeline. Research, evaluate, present material types and constructions to ensure product meets Category initiatives while meeting aesthetic, performance, pricing requirements.
