My roles included preparing engineering reports, reading and collaborating previous work manuals, preparing specification sheets for a large number of the company’s assets and analysed the structural integrity of new equipment to be installed on the ship.

  As part of my Masters Programme I undertook a placement in the Subsea Operations Research and Development department of Technip’s Offshore Engineering Division. I Gained experience in Data acquisition and organising, Risk Assessments, Client liaisons, Design and Commission of anti-cabling device and an instrumented swivel.

  Enrolled on the Graduate Engineering Programme working as an operations engineer for the reel lay vessels, Deep Energy and Deep Blue. My role is balanced between onshore and offshore activities, ensuring I can provide support both to areas of the business. My main responsibilities are listed below:• Support Offshore Construction Manager.• Provide operational and technical advice to Subsea project teams.• Produce Standard Operating Procedures, working closely with draftsmen.• Produce and maintain Vessel Specification and Vessel Reference Manual.• Support coordination between vessel, projects, head office and other operations departmental resources.• Identify and propose future CAPEX for operation procedures.• Participate in Job Risk Assessments, ensuring company procedures are adhered to.• Constantly improving efficiency of vessel activities such as mobilisation, demobilisation and offshore installation activities.• Identify, prepare and supervise the execution of vessel equipment modification works.• Mobilisation plan review and consolidation into mobilisation schedule.• Assist Tendering team with review of schedules, technical qualifications and method statements.• Participate in Asset readiness reviews.
