      Providing leadership and management of high quality end user focused technologies for IslandHealth’s clinical and business areas. Responsible for ensuring service delivery excellence and user satisfaction through continual service improvement efforts and delivery of Island Health’s regional device services strategies. Scope of responsibilities include delivery of fiscally responsible customer-facing computer device and peripheral support services, device engineering services, logistics services and application and peripheral testing support functions.Participates in the development and implementation of Island Health's strategic and operational IM/IT plans. Specific focus on establishing the strategic direction and support processes for the provision of highly quality device services.Actively leading supporting/committee structures as appropriate to facilitate decision-making, ensure appropriate assignment of accountability and secure buy-in for change efforts. Representing VIHA as an active participant in cross-jurisdictional and provincial forums to facilitate collaboration and inform future directions. Takes an active leadership role in contract negotiation and relationship management. Establishes evaluation and feedback mechanisms to ensure strong contract management and support continuous quality improvement.Develops and manages the annual budget for the Device Service Management function.Responsibilities include monitoring budget performance, planning and adjusting operations and/or staffing to meet projections and annual targets, approving expenditures and preparing summaries for fiscal reporting. Liaises with representatives of Finance in addition to the Chief Technology Officer on budget matters.Identifies and incorporates industry innovations and best practices in to the operational framework looking to improve quality and throughput while at the same time decrease costs.
