I built and maintained the GIS and geodatabase systems for the Pilgangoora project and other Altura projects, and have also hosted data in a 3D environment for this project using Micromine.

  Current role: Principal of Project Approvals for major projects at Fortescue Metals, with a role focusing on designing approvals strategy, project generation and project scoping.Working exclusively on Fortescue's Iron Ore Decarbonisation Project; which demands adequate and reliable renewable energy resources to fully decarbonise Fortescue's full iron ore mining process by 2030. This constitutes Fortescue's largest major infrastructure project, which comprises of multiple solar and wind renewable energy generation hubs, a major expansion of Fortescue's power transmission network, and any associated charging stations, on-site reticulation, battery requirements or miscellaneous requirements.As the Principal for decarbonisation projects primarily within the approvals scoping and strategy area of the portfolio development, my major responsibilities include strategic planning, appraisal and the scoping of and tracking of approval requirements. Our team successfully performs this function by building and facilitating relationships between the Project Teams and Fortescue's functional approval teams.A key part of my role requires general knowledge of the many and varied projects and approvals required to meet the full Iron Ore Decarbonisation portfolio, with my strategic planning work directly contributing to deliverable projects providing half of the proposed solar energy developments, and a candidate for Fortescue's entire wind power generation.
