      Served as the Department of Preventive Medicine (DPM) NCOIC at Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center supporting over 101,000 beneficiaries; responsible for staff of 29 Soldiers and 71 Civilians; served as senior advisor to Department Chief; oversaw Environmental Health, Army Hearing Program, Army Public Health Nursing, Health Physics, Army Wellness Center, Industrial Hygiene, and Occupational Health personnel; supported Army Safety and Health Management System and The Joint Commission Inspection; managed the department's military manpower, Soldier career development, and property accountability; developed standard operating procedures and administered training for the department; served as the primary hand receipt holder for the Office of the Chief, DPM, totaling over $39,000. I welcomed the opportunity during this assignment to shadow two 640A warrant officers and 68R techs on audits and inspections thereby increasing my knowledge on food safety, sanitation, food defense and inspections. Show less I served as the Preventive Medicine NCO for 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team providing Force Health Protection guidance and consultation to over 7,500 Soldiers, Medical Planners and Unit Commanders within 3IBCT and the Combat Aviation Brigade to maintain health and readiness by minimizing the impact of disease non-battle injuries. I conducted routine dining facility inspections and general sanitation inspections, monitored environmental health issues, investigated disease outbreaks, conducted environmental sampling and ensured field sanitation teams were properly trained and maintained field sanitation equipment IAW the Command Inspection Program. Simultaneously, I served as the Headquarters Platoon Sergeant, responsible for the health and welfare, morale, discipline and performance of 18 Soldiers. I have initiated continuing education classes on various food service safety and sanitation topics for dining facility personnel. I conducted a base camp assessment for 2 BN FTX's and 1 DIV exercise implementing preventive medicine measures to reduce or eliminate public health risks to over 4,500 Soldiers. I served as the NCOIC for a Battalion Organizational Day, executing a successful and safe beach fun day for unit members and their families. I won NCO of the month and NCO of the Quarter at the Battalion level and competed in the NCO of the Quarter Board for Brigade. I graduated as the Distinguished Honor Grad of my Equal Opportunity Class and served as the EO representative for the Company. Show less I served as the NCOIC for the Preventive Medicine department within Kenner Army Health Clinic. I provided administrative and clerical support to a public health team of 15 civilian employees and 6 Soldiers that serviced over 100K Soldiers, Family Members, retirees and DOD Civilians. I performed environmental inspections and dining facility inspections, conducted classes on various preventive medicine topics, managed the requisition, issuing and accountability of all equipment valued at over $350K. I also served as the Company Unit Prevention Leader, Barracks NCO and BOSS Treasurer & Vice President for the installation. Within this position, as a Specialist, I managed immediate closure of an AAFES snack shop at Ft. A. P. Hill based on imminent heath threats. I was hand selected to plan, direct and monitor environmental health mission support under a memorandum of understanding to protect the health and welfare of over 10,000 Reserve Soldiers participating in their Annual Summer Training at Fort A. P. Hill. While working in a multidisciplinary team, I implemented rapid response planning of an intense pest management scheme to control a roach infestation of a 75,000 sq. ft. U.S. Army Dining Facility. I received a Game Changer Award from the Commanding General for improving the health of the Fort Lee community and surrounding areas through education and preventive medicine inspections. Show less

Wyche May 2015 Awarded for organizing the Army’s Largest PT event at Fort Lee, Virginia for over 2,700 participants with special guest John Salley, NBA Star and Wellness Advocate. The event focused on health promotion and disease prevention amongst military personnel and their dependents.
