      HSF Scholar Hispanic Scholarship Fund Jul 2019 To become an HSF scholar one must either receive a HSF scholarship or attend an HSF event. In my case, I was one of 300 students who attended Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) 2019 at USC. In order to be selected one must have filled out an application, identify as being from Hispanic Heritage, have been a high school junior with a 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale, and plan to enroll full-time in a four-year degree program, at a U.S. private or public college or university.

      California Boys State Delegate The American Legion Jun 2019 To achieve this award one must be a male who has successfully completed their junior year of high school and have at least one more semester remaining are considered. California holds one of the largest boys states with over a thousand high school juniors in attendance. In my case, I was one of two students at my school selected to attend California Boys State representing my city's American Legion chapter.

      National Hispanic Recognition Program College Board 2019 Selected students must be at least one-quarter Hispanic/Latino, achieve a minimum PSAT/NMSQT score for their region, and maintain a cumulative junior year grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. Each year, approximately 7,000 Hispanic students from the United States and 250 top-scoring PAA students from Puerto Rico are selected. After taking the PSAT/NMSQT, high scoring Hispanic students are recommended for the award and then submit an application to be chosen.
