  As a student entrepreneur, I turned my passion for swimming into an innovative startup called SWIM-SAFE. As founder, director and chairman of Sport@Sea VZW, I have focused on networking with municipal authorities along the coast, the Coastal Mayor Council, Sports Officers and Sport Vlaanderen. I managed to set up partnerships with IKWV, WOBRA, VLIZ and MRCC, and successfully raise funds for grants, projects and sponsorships.Also negotiated collaborations with LAGO, VITA crocodile and FARYS for our swimming school. Able to pitch projects, I successfully did so for RedFed, Safe Coastal Tourism, Westtour and other organizations. My coaching and mentoring skills were used to train monitors and supervise new swimming instructors.Finally, I developed and maintained digital content, including our website, social media and print media.   Postmaster Rescuer by the sea

  As postmaster rescuer by the sea in the seaside resort of Ostend, I am responsible for the daily operational management of a rescue post and the supervision over one to three zones. I am responsible for the safety of bathers and beach visitors and work together with the Intermunicipal Coastal Rescue Service West Flanders. I am responsible for three to six rescuers and, in addition to my preventive task, I also have an important role in providing assistance to the police.
