      Purchased this business in November 2004 and operated the clinic with 3 local Physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners and various support staff until late 2005 when Hurricane Katrina came ashore decimating our population and our industrial client base, forcing the difficult decision to close. A brief, though fantastic experience with a dedicated group of professionals passionate about the wellness of our community.

      The Commission was legislatively established as the economic development (ED) authority for Hancock County in 1962 and currently owns and operates a 3600-acre industrial park, shallow draft port, short-line railroad and an international airport with 1670 acre airpark. Currently the Commission employs 30 personnel and holds $87 million in assets with an annual operating budget approximating $12 million and an ambitious $34 million capital budget planned for our fiscal year ending 9/30/2020.
