Provide the personal leadership, example and guidance to develop and maintain the high standards of individual and collective behavior of all ranks. 3. Implement Regimental Policies such as Standing Orders and the Supervisory Care Directive and ensure that common standards and practices apply throughout. As the Provost Sergeant within a military training establishment, I was responsible for maintaining discipline and security for the barracks. This also included looking after the trainees welfare by providing a booking in and out system to safeguard against unlawful entry or exit. I was able to maintain this responsibility by managing a group of 30 soldiers from both the Royal Engineers and the Military Provost Guard Service. Show less Section Commander: 1.       Secondary lead for the management of the training pipeline/information pertaining to the inflow of soldiers who have enlisted into The Corps of Royal Engineers. Responsibilities include tracking of personnel, briefing/ conducting interviews to all soldiers joining the Corps; allocation to initial trade courses; offer support and guidance to soldiers choosing their trades and assignments, providing key information that will assist in their decision making. Interaction with the Army’s personnel centre in Glasgow discussing individual cases of soldiers welfare and personal needs. Report to the senior officer in charge of the training pipeline daily, providing comprehensive data and information relating to the soldiers pathway. This included both commissioned officers, fellow warrant officers, senior non commissioned officers (nco), junior nco and other ranks, across a multitude of capbadges, both regular and reserve. Planned and executed an adventure training package for 40 personnel to Austria. Specific responsibilities as the Operations SNCO are: 1. Provide advice to the Recce Troop Commander in all trade, combat engineer and wider procedures in order to enhance the effectiveness of the Troop.2. Conduct planning and reconnaissance tasks within the time and resources allocated, ensuring adherence to all regulations and procedures. 3. Maintain and oversee the management, inspection and serviceability of all weapons, equipment, vehicles material and resources allocated to the Troop.4. Assist in design and delivery of an interesting and challenging training programme that develops all soldiers' personal skills and leadership.5. Act as the assistant to the Squadron Operations Officer, assisting with all operational planning and liaison with the Regimental Operations/ Training cell as required.6. Run all Squadron infantry, combat, armoured, artisan and annual training, overseeing the planning and loading of all regimental-run individual training courses. 7. Plan and coordinate all Squadron level 1 & 2 mandatory training, leading on the integration of the Squadron reconnaissance assets with the nominated Battle-Group.8. Where required, act as the assistant to the Battle Group Engineer. Show less Reconnaissance Sergeant with the Police Mentoring Advisory Group attached to 1st Battalion Welsh Guards on Operation HERRICK 16. Responsible for collating information on Afghan police sites across Helmand. 1. Established a new role during a 6 month operational tour in Afghanistan working alongside the Afghan National Police.2. Instrumental in helping to conduct 300 police sites surveys across central Helmand Province to provide a comprehensive understanding of issues undermining host nation security provision.3. Personally conducted over 100 police site surveys which helped establish the first sustainable Afghan National Police basing plan for central Helmand. Show less
