  The Institut pour le Financement du Cinema et des Industries Culturelles (IFCIC) is a lending institution affiliated with the French ministries of Culture and Economy, whose mission is to help enterprises of the creative sector (e.g. film production companies, independent record labels and fashion houses...) with their finances. This internship got me immersed in a somewhat unusual branch of the banking sector, helping me understand the issues at stake for companies that are hindered in their dealings with traditional banks because of their very specific business models.
