      Tasks included the setup and maintenance of a SQL Server 2000 server (backups included). The server served maps via ArcIMS on the intranet (using a Servlet Connector to connect via ArcSDE to the SQL Database).I was also involved in the design of GIS web-solutions for various customers (including Sasol, City of Tswane, City of Johannesburg, CDE, Santam etc.). The sites are designed using DHTML, XML, JavaScript, ASP, and CSS. GIS solution (included making of maps and GIS systems were also custom build to our clients needs (using ArcView 3/8/9). These clients include Daimler Chrysler, BMW, NavTech, Land Rover and Vodacom. I was also involved in the launch and marketing of the new MobiTrack/Business Connexion electronic mapping software called HandyMap. Graphic Design were also an integral part of my job, as I had to create CD packages (using CorelDraw) for all the data that goes out to the clients.I also did the GIS divisions’ software- and server maintenance and configuration.
