Front Load Washers - Wash Unit Team - Suspension Engineer- Own cost and quality and new development projects for suspension components, (springs, dampers, and counterweights)- Develop and execute FMEAs and test plans for suspension components on new product launches- Develop and maintain complexity roadmaps for suspension components- Owned suspension component design, test plan creation, testing, and launch for a new platform from start to finish. - 2 projects implemented in 1H 2020 providing $225K in 2020 cash flow. Both projects did not need capital, with very quick ROI. - Performed analysis to bring clarity to "where to work" for quality with own module as well as lending time to others. Led collaboration for cross-category best practice sharing of interfaces to improve quality. Show less Stand-alone cooking productsWERLD Rotation 4 Jan 2014 - Aug 2014-As a tech lead, worked with manufacturing and other engineering functions to design and approve small changes to an existing premium food preparation appliance-In the process of approval, identified components which did not currently meet Whirlpool standards and worked with other engineers to design and implement a solution quickly and at low cost.Refrigeration Ice and Water TeamWERLD Rotation 3 July 2013 - December 2013-Designed and tested new concepts for ice makers which will use less energy in anticipation of new Energy standards-Obtained OPEX Black Belt CertificationFabric Care Hydraulics Team, Schorndorf, Germany(WERLD Rotation 2) January 2013-June 2013I worked with the team to develop FMEAs and DVPs to validate two new technologies which could be implemented on the next model line for front load washers. Fabric Care IP Coordinator (WERLD Rotation 1) July 2012 - December 2012-Conducted competitive intelligence research with respect to patents and other innovation to determine threat to our products.-Participated in innovation sessions to help develop ideas for new or existing products to develop customer relevant solutions for the marketplace. -Assisted in the teardown of competitive products and organized testing to determine whether a competitive product was infringing upon a Whirlpool software patent.Vertical Axis Fabric Care (WERLD Rotation 0) February 2012 - June 2012-Worked to improve the suspension of vertical axis (top loading) washing machines through testing to determine spring type to be used.-Improved on mathematical model of spring deflection to improve prediction of top hits and bottoming out to determine optimal suspension rod length and stop height of suspension. -Communicated with suppliers of parts as well as assembly supplier to bring suspension design into reality for prototype build.
