Show less Responsible for planning and provisioning of reliable and cost effective transmission services that met the demands of Vodacom Core Business and external customers.Key responsibilities include:• Managing the provisioning of a reliable, cost effective and innovative transmission network that meet the demands of Vodacom core business• Ensure that all transmission services are configured with the necessary redundancy• Ensure 99.99 percent availability on access and core transmission configurations• Provide high level support to the NMG Transmission Configurations and regional teams.• Management and distribution of transmission spares stock levels• Managing the assurance of mobile services in the transmission network• Manage relationship between the vendors (Coriant and Nokia) and Vodacom to ensure that all products related cases are attended to and resolved within reasonable timelines.• Perform quality assurance across Mobile, Core and Enterprise services for all newly integrated network elements• Ensure that all faults escalated by the region and the NMG Fault Management are attended to and resolved within agreed SLAs.• Manage the planning of all core and RAN mobile services• Ensure that all transmission requirements for RAN are met• Ensure that planning is done according to internal processes and procedures for RAN projects • Manage the configuration of services to all EBU and Wholesale customers• Optimise the transmission network by ensuring quality configurations of transmission service and optimal use of bandwidth ( self-provide and leased) in the transmission network •Managing of all commercials including: All transmission 3rd party contracts Ensure that all leased links ordered do not exceed the allocated Opex budget Participate in SLA reconciliation meetings with NMG and 3rd parties to ensure recoveries of SLA penalties Define and draft SLA requirements for 3rd party suppliers in line with Vodacom availability.
