      Apr 2003 - Aug 2005
      Industrial rope access alpinist

As a leader of the 4-10 alpinist team it was my responsibility to oversee and deliver the performed construction or/and cleaning services to the customer. Customers were: Trade Center with facilities of ~4000 m2, office skyscrapers, government buildings etc

    • Silver Fiber Optics

      Sept 2005 - Mar 2008
      Process developer

As one of the 3 process developers I conceptualized and constructed a new plant for growing crystals of solid solution of silver halides.New plant offers: • ×10 faster growing speed without deterioration of optical properties;• high homogeneity of the doped crystals;• control of the crystallization front form; From new crystals we extruded high plasticity, nontoxic and nonhygroscopic fibers transparent for 2-20 um irradiation. Doped fibers are the first fiber scintillators for detection of ionizing radiation.3 patents obtained. Show less

    • EPFL

      Jun 2008 - Feb 2013
      Ph.D.

During my Ph.D. in the field of Nonlinear Fiber Optics I developed and experimentally demonstrated:-High resolution temperature and stress distributed fiber sensors; New sensor has record spatial resolution of 1 cm;-All-optical signal delay lines (optical memory) using dynamic grating reflectors for telecommunication and radio frequency signals; Distortionless delay line with expanded buffer time; Dynamic grating based optical processor, which allows true time reversal of data packets, optical integration and differentiation; Processor can perform new operations at high data rates;Collaborations with researchers from Spain, Korea and Israel resulted in considerable number of articles for top ranked scientific journals and world known conferences. Besides my research activity I was responsible for finding optical component supplier for our laboratory. Show less
