  - Conducted summer research at the Gonda Diabetes & Genetics Research Center- Analyzed glycolytic and TCA Cycle intermediates of treated H460 lung cancer cells and brown adipocytes- Gave poster presentation on tamoxifen's effects on cells under various conditions

  Ongoing biomedical research on pH regulating hydrogels in cancer cell acidic environments under PI Vikas Srivastava, PhD. Conduct health screenings (blood pressure, glucose levels, and physical examination) for underserved populations in conjunction with the Clinica Esperanza clinic. Commit to health education and awareness through governmental and nonprofit outreach and local partnership events.

Co-lead IRB-approved study on social support and quality of life among adult chemotherapy patients. Presented research findings at ASCO Quality Care Symposium 2024.

Advocate for legislation to increase funding for cancer research, prevention, and screening programs, reduce tobacco burden, address health disparities and improve the quality of life for cancer patients. Speak with Rhode Island Congress advocating legislation during Cancer Action Day.

  Serve as the Logistics and Employment Officer for the Brown Emergency Response Team and as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Brown Ambulance Corps.

  Organize campus and local Providence fundraising events including Making Strides and Relay for Life. Spearheaded a clinical patient support volunteer program between ACS at Brown and Lifespan Cancer Institute across Lifespan hospital system. Drive on campus and local educational efforts to improve cancer screenings and awareness.
