      Following a year-long Infantry based officer training course in Malta, I read for an Officer of the Watch course at the prestigious Italian Naval College in Livorno. Initially deployed at the Maritime Squadron on board the AFM's Offshore Patrol Vessel P61 as an Operations Officer .Attended the Offshore Tactical Command course at the Italian Coast Guard Base in Messina Sicily where I attained great results in maneuvering training on board the Offshore Class 900 Patrol Vessels. (also known as Diciotti Class). In 2012, I was selected by the General Headquarters ,to work on the AFM's official website project and social media presence. Still a junior lieutenant , I took over the Public Affairs Office from a Staff Officer II and started shaping the Public Affairs office with added personnel and operational improvements. For over four years, I have been solely responsible for the Public Affairs office within the Armed Forces of Malta. Marketing through in house video productions, social media and online presence were some of the projects I initiated and formed part of my area of responsibility. I was the sole editor of four editions of ON PARADE Magazine, (Malta's only Military Magazine , published with the Times of Malta). Leading a team of young spirited versatile individuals, I was responsible for project based initiatives aimed at improving the public's perception of our Armed Forces both locally and internationally. Received NATO training in Public Speaking and Public Affairs, I was also assigned as the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces and served through several national and international crises management situations. I was promoted to the rank of Captain on May 4th 2016. Show less
