Apple Distinguished Educator Apple Inc. Şub 2013 Extremely honored to be the ONLY art educator in the United States from a K-12 institution selected as an Apple (technology) Distinguished Educator in 2013. I am one of 90 (teachers, technology directors, administrators, and higher education educators) chosen for the ADE 2013 United States class based on innovative use of technology in the classroom. I will be traveling to Austin in July to collaborate with some amazing educators from around the United States, Canada, and Mexico!

National PBS Teacher Innovator Winner 2011 PBS Nis 2011 I was selected as the first place national winner representing K-5 art educators. I traveled to The Henry Ford in Dearborn Michigan along with the other national winners from other subject areas and grade levels to partake in a week long innovation emersion experience.

FMF- Fulbright Memorial Fund - Japanese Culture Experience for Teachers Fulbright Memorial Fund Kas 2002 I was chosen to travel to Japan with a group of 200 teachers from throughout the United States to experience a three week cultural emersion experience. It was an opportunity I am so grateful to have experienced in my life.
