  As an Engineer at UCAL, I was a part of a couple of significant Research and Development projects funded by the DST, Govt. of India in bilateral collaborations with Republic of Korea and Spain.R&D Projects:-- One of the projects that I worked on was the Autonomous Amphibian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and UAV Mountable Water Sampling Device for in-situ Water quality assessment. My responsibilities for this project included designing the UAV, selecting sub-systems, fabricating and integrating prototypes, conducting lab/field tests, and troubleshooting any issues that arose.- Another exciting project I worked on was to develop a Hybrid VTOL UAV powered by solar panels and a hydrogen fuel cell for long endurance applications. As the design team lead for this project, I was responsible for the overall aircraft design & sizing, analyzing the flight performance and stability, selecting appropriate sub-systems, testing and validating the propulsion system, as well as conducting lab and field tests.Other Responsibilities:- Performed Flight dynamics simulation of drones using MATLAB, ROS & Gazebo- Carried out UAS integrations and piloting- Involved in Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) development and testing- Developed Computer Vision projects such as human detection, vehicle detection etc.- Carried out drone services including, Aerial Survey and Mapping, Powerline inspection, and Crop health monitoring using multispectral camera- Prepared technical reports and presentations, project proposals, research papers, and produced project/product demonstration videos- Mentored and supervised interns- I was also a External project guide for Bachelor of Engineering students infew projects Show less
