      In addition to duties as O1 and O2, responsible to the Director of Campus Safety through the supervisors for the protection of life and property on the McDaniel College campus. The main duties of the position are the delivery of campus protection and safety. Supervised the work of other officers in a "trainee" supervisor capacity and performed in a quasi-supervisory capacity in special collateral duties, including investigations and information technology.; Campus Safety Officer O1 and O2.Provided protection and safety for the campus community through routine patrols and responding to calls for service. Calls for service included criminal activity, medical, and fire related. Enforced college policy and state and local laws. Dealt with all departmental computer related issues. The supervision of work of the officers and the delivery of campus protection and safety services through these officers are the primary duties of the supervisor. Responsible for deployment of personnel and equipment to maintain effective deterrent/crime prevention patrol.Ensured incidents were documented and/or investigated in accord within normal practice guidelines.Guaranteed the accuracy of departmental records such as incident reports and logs.Monitored performance of officers and prepared counseling or disciplinary documents as needed.Assessed departmental function of line officers in quarterly performance evaluations.Was available for around the clock call from line staff every two weeks and available by cell at all times.Adjusted scheduling of officers and dispatchers to suit daily operational needs of the Department.Supervised and coordinated all investigations.Oversaw all computers and computer programs used by the Department.Assisted with coordinating/scheduling training for the DepartmentAssisted with implementing the Department's community education programming.Reviewed all reports for quality and made adjustments as necessary.Set-up and monitored use of all surveillance equipment on campus.
