    • Skasiks Cleaners

      Jan 1995 - Jun 2006
      Apprentice

We are a family owned and operated professional dry cleaners. The business was started in 1951 by my grandfather Adam Skasik. At a young age, I worked alongside my father and shadowed the work that was required daily. I then progressed into working directly with our clients, offering pick up and delivery service to their businesses and homes. Overtime, I began to make day to day business decisions and experienced many different economic cycles and the impact they have on a small business. Today, my father is still very active in the day to day operations, as well as the community. My brother has since obtained his B.S. from West Virginia University with a concentration in business management and works full time at the cleaners. Show less

    • Wells Fargo

      Jun 2006 - Apr 2010
      Branch Manager

I made outbound calls to our existing clients to provide information on their accounts. Further, I would conduct complimentary meetings with our clients to evaluate their current FICO score/report. After meeting and learning more about their situation, I would educate them on their FICO score and provide lending solutions. Our lending consisted of home mortgage refinance (conventional and FHA), auto lending (direct and indirect), and Wells Fargo revolving credit lines. After 22 months, I took on the role of branch manager of our Barboursville, WV office and then our Morgantown, WV office. My responsibilities included: branch profitability, hiring/recruiting (where I attended job fairs), on the job training, complying with all federal compliance guidelines, and holding meetings daily with our clients. During my tenure here, I had the opportunity of working through all phases of the credit crises, which provided valuable job experience. Show less
