  Accepted increasing responsibilities within the Manufacturing Department to include oversight of up to three departments at one time with over 140 production employees and budgets totaling over five million annually. Consistently recorded improvements through the appropriate application of resources, the analysis of financial tools and the development and implementation of the companies Lean Manufacturing Program. Selected Contributions: Exceeded profit goals each year including a doubling of the Door Shop goal for 2003. Increased production throughput by 50% in the Door Shop, 30% in the Plumbing Warehouse and 20% in the Wall Panel Plant by eliminating wasted motions, improving layouts and other Lean Manufacturing techniques. Designed and maintained the manufacturing departments performance metrics to track and insure continuous improvements in productivity as well as reductions in operating costs. Developed a concept for prefabricating gas pipe packages for new homes and designed a manufacturing area to allow for the production, inspection and packaging using proven lean manufacturing techniques. Facilitated the implementation of new production software for the Wall Panel Plant resulting in improved throughput and higher quality. Designed and implemented a scheduling and shipping process in Excel resulting in a savings of over 60 man-hours per week. ($45,000 per year). Upgraded the system by co-writing an Access data base saving an additional 20 hours per week. Participated as a Core Team Member of the Oracle, ERP system implementation.
