      2017 - 2023
Bachelor's degree Electrical and Electronics Engineering 3.97

      Innovation Minor, Engineering Leadership Certificate.

  • Experience

    • UF Gator Robotics, Battlebots

      Aug 2017 - May 2018
      Electronics Mentor

In the Battlebots club I guided the separate teams through the process of designing and implementing the electronic systems on their respective robots. My role also required me to run a series of workshops on the electrical subsystems used in robotics, my workshops allowed students to better understand how the various robotics components interface.

    • UF ASABE Robotics

      Nov 2017 - Apr 2022
      Electronic Systems Lead

As Electrical Lead I was in charge of the team that designed the hardware and software for an autonomous agricultural robot. I led a team of 4 members and together we created the navigation and harvesting aspects of the robot. The system we built utilized a network of microcontrollers and sensors working in unison through custom PCBs to complete each years challenge. Our robot took 3rd place once and 1st place twice in the advanced division of the ASABE Robotics Student Design Competition.

    • UF Gator Robotics

      Apr 2018 - Apr 2019
      External Operations Coordinator

As the EOC (External Operations Coordinator) for Gator Robotics, my role was not only to promote the organization and interact with sponsors but also to ensure the smooth operation of project teams. Through my interaction with current and potential sponsors, I greatly developed my professional communication and customer service skills. My leadership abilities have grown exponentially as a result of my time spent ensuring successful project teams and sponsor events.

    • NEW GENERATION AEROSPACE INC.

      May 2018 - Jun 2018
      Electrical Engineering Intern

At New Generation Aerospace my job was to work with technicians to develop and document new rewinding procedures for the Airbus A320 generator. Specifically, my responsibility was developing CAD models and specification sheets that documented procedures while meeting FAA and industry standards. I recognized that by taking the rewind tooling and process from a previous project and updating it to be compatible with A320, I could save the company and customers time and money. Through my role at New Generation, I gained experience in innovating new procedures and customer satisfaction. Show less

    • UF Gator Robotics, Tailgator

      Jun 2018 - Aug 2019
      Co Lead

As co-lead on the Tailgator team, I was responsible for managing the electrical and software portion of a project team that created a bespoke, burger-making robot.

    • UF AeroGator

      Aug 2018 - Apr 2022
      President

As President of AeroGator I was charted a new path for the organization by introducing a design challenge. In previous, years the club had been focused on building aa aircraft, but this had stalled due to the kit being incomplete. I refocused the club to design and build a powered parachute from scratch, which greatly increased member engagement and value of experience. As Flight Supervisor of AeroGator, I oversaw the airworthiness and safety of our flight and ground operations. By developing procedures, maintaining the currency of documentation, inspecting work performed, and working with the FAA and manufacturer I ensure that our aircraft is kept in good standing. As a team lead, I was responsible for leading the team of engineers that designed, installed, calibrated, and tested the avionics in our aircraft. • Escape Key

      Aug 2018 - Nov 2018
      Electronic Prop Designer

At Escape Key I develop electronics based props to enhance game experience by increasing the level of interactivity. Also as part of my job, I update existing props to make them increasingly robust and cost-efficient. In a project I undertook, I managed to save Escape key a large monthly expenditure by creating a power distribution system which eliminated the need for the waste of thousands of batteries.

    • Delta Air Lines

      Aug 2019 - Apr 2021
      Boeing Systems Engineering Co-op

At Delta Air Lines my primary responsibility was designing repairs and alterations to comply with Airworthiness Directives across various aircraft systems and fleet types. The research and design phase of each project often required me to establish dialogue with the aircraft OEM(s) and federal regulators. After completing the research and design phase of each project I collaborated with a multitude of different departments including tooling, maintenance shops, scheduling, maintenance, and logistics to ensure that the designed compliance action could be completed on all affected aircraft successfully. One of the most rewarding aspects of the job was working with the maintenance technicians to validate work instructions on the aircraft. While at this position I also undertook a number of operational tasks and reliability projects. I quite frequently had to investigate work stops and issue variation authorizations for aircraft in MRO facilities (which were often overseas) to prevent AOG and allow an on-schedule returns to service. Another facet to the operational tasks was assisting with root cause analysis on failed and damaged equipment. Reliability projects required that I develop solutions to maintenance issues which frequently caused significant and were costly to repair. By working with outside vendors and the FAA, I authored projects to introduce new parts and reworked existing equipment which reduced the frequency of in-flight turn-backs and aborted takeoffs. • Collins Aerospace

      May 2021 - Aug 2021
      SEPP Systems Engineering Intern

At Collins Aerospace I was part of a small research and design team tasked with evaluating the effectiveness of a new radionavigation technology. We researched the feasibility of repurposing existing aircraft RF system to output a 3D geographical position. I was responsible for all of the systems aspects of the project, including software model development, ground transmitter hardware and software design, test flight design, and federal coordination. To complete the research I had to seek assistance from a whole host of subject matter experts inside the company, including a variety of senior engineers across disciplines, lab technicians, a test pilot, and the legal team. We also worked directly with the FAA Spectrum Engineering team and FCC to secure permission and licensing to transmit during the test flight. I worked alongside the flight test engineer to prepare the test aircraft, by installing our teams equipment, validating operational performance, and creating test protocols. Show less
