  Over the summers of 2015 and 2016, as well as January 2016, I was mentored by Virginia Miller, Ph.D., Professor of Surgery and Physiology, Mayo Clinic. We investigated the effects of hypertensive pregnancy and menopausal hormone therapy on physiological factors including neurochemicals, bone density, and coronary artery calcification. We published two peer-reviewed articles and I presented abstracts at a national conference (Experimental Biology) and an undergraduate research symposium in Chicago. Show less
