      𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁: 6th of October add on steam turbine - ACC𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁: Ansaldo Energia𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: As part of the project team for the 6th of October add on steam turbine - ACC, my duties included the following:•𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: I oversaw the installation of steel structures, ducts, motors/gearboxes and piping to ensure that they were installed correctly. This involved checking the alignment, fit, and finish of all components and verifying that all connections were properly secured and sealed.•Manpower management: I was responsible for managing the workforce, including supervisors, fitters, welders, painters, scaffolders, helpers and grinders. This involved ensuring that they were performing their duties correctly. I also ensured that the workforce was sufficient for the needs of the project and that all necessary certifications and training were in place.•Supervision of hydro-tests: I oversaw the hydro-testing process to ensure that it was done correctly. This included verifying that the testing equipment was calibrated and working properly and that the tests were performed at the correct pressure and duration.•Follow-up on touch-up activities: I ensured that any touch-up activities were done correctly. This involved checking for any defects or deficiencies and coordinating with the relevant personnel to address them.•Pre-commissioning activities: I prepared the equipment and systems for commissioning by conducting inspections, testing, and preparations to ensure that they were ready for operation. •I took the necessary precautions and preparations for both the cold and hot commissioning phases to ensure that the equipment and systems were commissioned safely and correctly. This involved coordinating with the commissioning team to ensure that all necessary procedures and protocols were in place and that all personnel were properly trained and equipped. Show less 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁: Assiut Combined Cycle Power Plant 500 MW add on – Air Cooling Condenser (ACC) (EPC Project)𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁: GE/Orascom𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:•I reviewed important project documents related to QA/QC.•Witnessing welders’ qualification according to ASME XI standards which involved conducting personnel and visual/RT (Radiographic Testing) checks to ensure that the welders were properly trained and qualified to perform their duties.•I inspected materials to ensure that they met the related standards. This involved checking specifications, certificates, storage, and preservation to ensure that the materials were suitable for use in the project.•𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: Steel structure: I checked the level, verticality, alignment, conformity to drawing, and torque of bolts as per EN1090-2. Piping system: I verified fit-up, conformity of isometrics, conducted visual inspections of completed spools, inspected pipe supports, checked lines’ slope and inspected valves installations and flanged as per drawings and ASME B31.1. Mechanical equipment: I inspected the installations of motors, gearboxes, fans, and as per applicable specifications and related drawings and datasheets This included adjusting the pitch angle for fan blades and checking the position, level, and alignment of pumps.•Conducting a pre-test punch listing and reviewed detailed test packages that outlined the testing requirements and procedures for the project. •I witnessed pneumatic and hydro-tests to ensure that they were done correctly.•Verification that all pre-commissioning activities were completed such as checking the internal cleanliness and conducting a final inspection.•Preparing turn-over packages, which included the final dossier of all project documents, to be handed over to the client upon completion of the project. Inches of piping welds.- Preparation and Review Piping test packages: This involves preparing detailed test packages that outline the testing requirements and procedures for the piping system. - Verifying that the testing procedures outlined in the test packages are being followed correctly and tracking the results using a control sheet register.- Preparing and reviewing important project documents and procedures, such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method of Statements.
