  As a Co-Founder of this organization I worked with co-founder Leann Lazzari, an expert team of Board Members, Legislators, Volunteers and Staff to create the first Children's Community Based Health Care Center. Work included: Starting the 501 c(3), fundraising, grant writing, legislation, certificate of need, purchasing the home, zoning board meetings for special use permits, medical staff development, Public health licensing, local health licensing, policies and procedures, etc.

  The organization had been serving medically complex children and was on the verge of dissolution. Rather than closing the doors, As the Co-Founder, I accepted the position as Executive Director in partnership with co-founder Leann Lazzari (President). Together our work included: Securing funds for nursing care, business reorganization, grant writing, fund raising, managing RN's, LPN's and Medical Director. Identifying families in need. Coordinating reimbursement from DSCC Division of Specialized Care for Children, and insurance agencies. Position was relinquished to a clinician as a way to advance the organization and grow it into a successul non-profit organization in Naperville and Chicago (with a new site expected in southern Illinois).
