  The Topchubashov Center was established in April 2018. It is affiliated with the Center for RegionalResearch, a Baku-based NGO. As a young research fellow, I joined Topchubashov Center. While working at this center I have been involved in interviewing besides researching as well. I have also broadened my scope of research, covering not only Caucasus and Central Asia, but also Eastern Europe and Middle East. Most recently, I contributed my energy to the Center`s inaugural conference, which was dedicated to security issues in Eastern Europe and post-Soviet area. A one-day event in mid-January 2019, it had a prior preparatory process which also expanded my organizational multi-tasking experience, especially in public relations, and helped me meet several well-known security experts.   In December 2018, I earned a two-week study visit to Brussels where I attended several international institutions and research centers, got to know the working mechanisms of the EU bodies, listened to lectures on the EU`s European and external policies and spoke to many influential politicians. Following my trip, I have become determined to experience the heart of the EU for a longer period. I was also inspired by European politicians who have taught me the importance of further knowledge about the EU's perspectives and policies and acquiring a deeper knowledge of complex EU policies.
