      I had the idea, and recruited the partners, sourced funding and whatever else necessary to create a new non-bank mortgage lender from scratch. Argosy Property Finance was formed in Sept 2005 and I:• Created the brand and reputation in the market• Drove the recruitment, training and motivation of a team of 14 who settled over $200 million in residential mortgages in under 2 years, more than any other lender in the non bank sector. • Developed and implemented a nationwide marketing campaign to generate business and to make Argosy the first choice of mortgage brokers in NZ.• Developed and presented seminars (certified by the industry governing body) to brokers throughout New Zealand in product development and best practices.• Grew the non bank market share in NZ by designing and introducing innovative new products to the NZ marketplace.• Managed the winding down of the business and sale of the mortgage book.• Upskilled the sales and lending employees to the extent that following the closure of Argosy they were in such demand that they were immediately placed in new positions within the industry in spite of the shrinking market and competition for jobs.
