  Laboratory Technician

  URI Watershed Watch is a volunteer water quality monitoring program within the URI Department of Natural Resources Science. I am responsible for performing laboratory analyses on lake, river, and salt water samples for parameters such as pH, chlorophyll-a content, and presence of bacterial indicators. I collect samples in the field both on foot and from a boat. Also, I create and publish educational fact sheets about various water quality parameters and coordinate with volunteers and partner organizations regarding water sampling protocols. Show less
