      My PhD thesis can be accessed through the British Lending Library, and included a detailed analysis of how social influence works within organisations such as livery yards. Key areas of focused examined how people could access membership of the yard through their engagement in particular rhetorical practices within the yard, and how leadership and power were constructed and used to confer different legitimacy to yard members claims to power within the livery yard.       I have two current roles: Research Director: I co-ordinates the research arm of the Clinical Psychology Training Programme in Plymouth, including the development and supervision of Mental Health Service Evaluations across the south west, supervision of doctoral level qualitative and quantitative research in Clinical, Occupational and Social Psychology Areas.Research and Consultancy: I have developed a substantial research programme examining how interprofessional teams work in healthcare settings, engaging teams across the southwest in a range of research project and team development programmes. This included co-editing the book 'Interprofessional Care and Mental Health'. I am able to offer consultation in organisational psychology areas, including training and engaging staff in enhanced teamwork, and developing sustainable strategies for change in organisations. We also conduct research for aligned commercial partners, and provide consultation on the development of doctoral programmes to other universities, both national and international. Our doctoral programmes include clinical training and research doctorates for clinicians, including psychoanalysts, clinical psychologists, Forensic psychologists and Allied Health Professionals.
