Jan 2014 - Mar 2017As the Marketing and Communications Manager, I was responsible for all marketing and promotional efforts for a local specialty coffee company with three locations in Philadelphia. I maintained and updated all digital assets including Squarespace website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Yelp pages, and Google Business listings. This included conceptualizing and creating original video, picture, and written content to post to social media accounts 2-3 times per week. I also created original content for the HubBub Blog on our website, which is updated 1-2 times per month. In addition to maintaining HubBub's digital assets, my role also included creating and disseminating traditional marketing materials such as flyers, postcards, signage for events and in shops, and more.Finally, as the Marketing and Communications Manager I developed and maintain strategic partnerships between HubBub and other organizations and businesses through sponsorships and promotional agreements to increase awareness of HubBub cafes and products. In the fall of 2016 we entered into a promotional agreement with Netflix to participate in "Luke's Diner Day," a promotion to generate excitement around the new season of Gilmore Girls. On October 5th, I worked with Allied Experiential to transform all three of our cafes into "Luke's Diner" from Gilmore Girls, coordinating our entire staff before and during the event, distributing materials provided by Netflix, documenting the day's activities on social media, and providing an event recap to Netflix and Allied Experiential. I wrote five blog posts which were featured on the Urban Ecology Center website, and I curated the Center's first ever Instagram account, which gained over 300 followers during the summer. I also created all digital and print promotional materials, including digital and print advertisements in outside publications. I was also responsible for merchandising for the Original 13 brand and the Sir Charles Cider brand; this includes pricing, designing, sourcing, and selling all merchandise related to the two brands. Finally, as the events manager at Original 13, I was in charge of coordinating and staffing all outside events participated in by the company, including street festivals, beer and wine shows, private tastings, and more. These events included lead-generation activities at conferences and trade shows, as well as customer appreciation events for current clients. My responsibilities with regard to trade shows and conferences included traveling to different events, helping to coordinate travel for the team, preparing and coordinating shipments to and from the events, and facilitating the setup of the SEMrush booth and/or exhibit space at the event. Customer appreciation events, or road shows, were another important aspect of my job.
