  Lead advisor and mentor to two Afghan National Army (ANA) Company Commanders in Helmand Province. Responsible for training of a bi- or tri-lingual audience of ANA soldiers as well as planning and executing company level operations in a multi-lingual environment. Oversaw a large upheaval in manpower lay-down to shift the tactical centre of mass of the advised force. Oversaw handover of lead security responsibility from ISAF to ANA forces. Intimate command of a team of 16 soldiers, junior non-commissioned officers and senior non-commissioned officers in arduous, demanding and culturally sensitive situations. Show less Overall training, welfare and management responsibility for a platoon of 32 soldiers and junior non-commissioned officers as part of the UK's short notice regional reserve battalion based in Cyprus. Responsible for maintaining team morale, readiness, physical and technical capabilities whilst on a demanding training timeline. Responsible for career development of subordinates, from tutelage in basic numeracy and literacy to leadership and command development and testing. Towards the end of the period took on responsibilities for organising and coordinating the training of up to 98 soldiers and oversight of accounting and maintenance of all equipment and stores.
