As part of the product organization, I provide research-backed recommendations to drive behavioral change for our users. • Perform qualitative and quantitative research to inform product design and content. This has primarily been qualitative, through in-depth interviews and contextual inquiry.• Identify and highlight findings from the existing body of academic psychology research to inform product design and content. In other words, I perform literature reviews and make docs or decks to explain the implications of existing research on how we ought to design new features, or frame UI copy, to drive behavior change.• Provide feedback directly to product managers on requirements for upcoming projects. Feedback often has to do with framing, mental models, or choice architecture.• Provide feedback directly to product designers on draft mocks; specifically, on whether the decision-making environment is driving the kinds of user behaviors we’re hoping for.• Ahead of new feature launches, educate sales and customer success on the how exactly science is baked into the feature.
