  The Office of Forensic Auditing, Evaluation, and Analysis, conducts investigations and reviews of potentially fraudulent, improper, wasteful and/or abusive activities related to GSA operations at the direction of the IG or Deputy IG. Proactive efforts are conducted through the use of innovative auditing and investigative techniques in order to enhance early detection and subsequent assessment of potentially fraudulent activities. The office develops evidence that meets admissibility standards for prosecution in federal courts. In addition the office, directs, plans, and coordinates quality assurance through inspections and evaluations.Duties include:Forensic auditing of GSA business activities; Evaluating program risk areas cutting across agency lines; and coordinating and directing of multiple complex evaluations simultaneously.Evaluate incoming source documents, identify discrepancies and their sources and recommend corrective action.Interpret or analyze highly complex information to discern patterns, trends, and relationships and to draw conclusions by applying rules that involve many steps.Analyze program data, including management control processes, to determine levels or degrees of risk indicated with respect to the subjects compliance with legal or regulatory requirements.Analyze financial data to determine levels or degrees of risk indicated with respect to the subjects compliance with legal or regulatory requirements. Extensive experience conducting systematic examinations and appraisals of management controls, policies, and practices.
