  • Experience

    • WSP in the UK

      Sept 2014 - Jun 2020

Worked on a number of schemes designing highways and drainage infrastructure for the purposes of planning through to detailed design for construction. Project experience includes town centre urban regeneration schemes, S278 Variable Message Signage design, retrofit rain garden design, highway design for residential estates, Section 38 works design for a large residential estate of approximately 3,000 houses. I use standard industry software including PDS, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, PDS Sign, PDS Line.Prior to this I worked in the Development Planning team. I worked primarily on Transport Assessments, analysing the transport impact of new development. I use standard industry software including TRICS, TEMPRO, ArcMap, Junctions 8 and AutoCAD. I have also worked on 'smarter travel' programmes. This included the delivery and evaluation of LSTF Personal Travel Planning Programmes for Wokingham Borough Council, Wiltshire Council and Bracknell Forest Council. I use Excel and SPSS for data analysis. I have some experience of monetising benefits in line with WebTAG and other methods. I have developed a Business Travel Plan Benefit Tool in MS Excel as part of Tyne & Wear's LSTF programme. The tool aims to demonstrate whether there is a case for implementing travel plan measures. The tool will show the projected monetary return based on benefits including improvements to employee health, reduced congestion, and reduced business travel. The tool has been piloted with businesses, and whilst in its infancy, my work will hopefully provide a good basis for future development in this area. Show less
