Responsible for maintaining a good gross profit for the departments. Night manager 2 to 3 times a week. Taking deposits to bank as well as picking up change orders at the bank. Handling customer affairs and complaints when store manager was not there. Some computer work too. Was trained in the use of the computer system for use in adding new items into the master data base as well as editing prices and fixing pricing errors. Also received 2 months training as a meat wrapper as well as 6 months training as an apprentice meat cutter.   Started out on the night crew setting up the store for its grand opening. This was abrand new store so it had to be tagged and set. Helped break down loads, stock shelves,blocking product, merchandising specials, hanging tags, running the crew and making sureeverything went smoothly. This was supposed to be temporary but I was never moved to daywork so I left.
