      I started at Insight Business Partners (as it was known) to fill a role in the newly created Business Advisory division. The role was responsible for business development to acquire new clients and the delivery of a variety of consulting services to these clients. I facilitated workshops, ran focus groups, wrote marketing materials, coached and mentored a diverse client base in CBD Perth as well as in the Pilbara & Kimberley in W.A. northwest. I specialised in strategy development, documentation of the business plan and assisted the business owners with implementation of their new plan. Budgeting and cash flow forecasting were key facets of this work, as was establishing and monitoring appropriate KPIs.As a result of business development efforts, I quickly became an equity partner in the practice and ultimately took over as Managing Director. During the period I was Managing Director I successfully implemented a strategy to focus on new key markets and relocated the practice to West Perth. Other key initiatives instigated during my tenure include:- implementing a 'less paper' office with document management and workflow automation- overhauled HR process, documented new job descriptions and implemented a performance management system- implemented client satisfaction surveys incorporating the Net Promoter Score - developed visual management systems for employee productivity - facilitated merger/amalgamation of two other accounting practices- managed outsourced IT service provider- managed outsourced marketing consultants- developed key partner & referral relationships Show less
