  As Assistant to the Dean of Students, I served as a Chaplain and Spiritual Director, providing support and guidance to students from diverse backgrounds and facing different challenges. My role involved assisting both local and international students from over 90 countries in their spiritual growth. Additionally, I coordinated the New Student Orientation program, ensuring that incoming students felt welcomed and had all the necessary information and resources for a successful transition.

  I worked as an interfaith chaplain in a Level 1 Trauma Center, where I provided spiritual support to patients and their families. I also worked in an acute psychiatric in-patient setting. I participated in interdisciplinary rounds and family conferences, advocating for the spiritual well-being of individuals and their families. Additionally, I served on the Neuropsychiatric Ethics Committee, ensuring ethical considerations were addressed in patient treatment.

  As the Chaplain, I provided sensitive and culturally appropriate support to patients and their families. I catered to the spiritual needs of a diverse patient population, helping them navigate through various challenges such as crisis situations, spiritual distress, depression, receiving a new cancer diagnosis, undergoing long-term treatment, managing advanced cancer, and end-of-life care. In addition, I played an integral role in the development of programs, initiatives, and quality improvement activities aimed at enhancing the overall provision of spiritual and emotional support to our patients and their families.   Director (Mission Integration)

  As Director of Mission Integration for Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, I managed a team of 3 and spearheaded the implementation of many cross-functional task forces as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. My key accomplishments include developing a hospital internship for underrepresented students, leading the Bioethics Committee, Community Health initiatives and assessments, and the Human Trafficking Response Task Force. I also developed and launched over 20 hospital-wide cultural commemorations and served as Policy Advocacy Liaison to connect with local, state, and federal elected officials. I also strengthened community networks through relationship building and serving on boards and committees. Show less
