  I was responsible for analyzing and improving production for Marcellus Horizontal wells via plunger lift systems installation and optimization, automatic chemical injection systems, fluid well treatments, automatic purge systems, and post treatment analysis. I was also tasked with Plugging and Abandonment operations through our Appalachian operations area. A big part of my production analysis responsibilities involved the routine well soaping program and methods to improve, automate, and optimize the program. I designed, deployed, adjusted, and maintained an automatic multi well chemical dosing and injection system. This system minimized personnel intervention and maximized the effectiveness of low dose chemical treatments. Other methods of treatment included: a project designing and installing an automatic fluid line purge system to retrofit the existing equipment for the purpose of reducing freeze related downtime; large dose water and chemical flushes to clear tubing and wellbore obstructions; and swabbing operations to revive flooded and treated wells. Show less As a Field Drilling Engineer for ECA, my focus was planning, logistics, and on-site supervision of air drilling operations throughout our Appalachian operating area. My experiences included directional drilling on air, running and cementing multiple casing strings, and stabilizing wellbores for continued operations.I drilled the top hole sections of ECA’s Marcellus Horizontal wells which included: air drilling through coal formations, open voids, and flooded abandoned mines; fishing operations involving wireline, directional drilling tools, downhole camera imaging, and milling and retrieval of spiral separated drill pipe; and the transition from in-ground drilling fluid impoundments to above ground fluid management systems. After a six week introduction, I began the direct supervision of the drilling, casing, cementing, and directional surveying operations.I went on to gain experience with other aspects of drilling including cementing balanced kick-off plugs, setting wireline bridge plugs, and open hole casing packers. My responsibilities as a field drilling engineer included setting conductor casings with concentric drilling rigs, setting and cementing conductor through rotary tables, site containment layout, and management of drilling waste.   In Nov 2017, ECA was acquired by Greylock Energy and I continued my role as a Production Engineer. During my Plugging and Abandonment experiences, I have been the project supervisor in charge of all planning, coordination, and on-site operations. These projects included the use of full SCBA equipment, H2S monitoring equipment, specialty kill fluid blends, and additional critical personnel training and qualification. As is common with P&A operations, there were many complications that required on-the-fly procedure and design changes. During such situations, I was responsible for coordinating closely with safety and regulatory officials as well as last minute equipment and contractor procurement.I have overseen service rig operations including well kill, pulling strings of concentric tubing and packer, cement plug placement, and well head reconfiguration. Mid-process, I have made wells safe to allow rig swaps either for mechanical failures, changing equipment requirements, or for planned downtime. Use of drilling rigs during plugging operations included mechanical casing cuts, heavy weight casing pulls, well head removal, and final cementing. Wireline operations under my supervision included cement bond logs, several explosive casing cuts, and multiple casing perforations. In addition to downhole operations, I was also tasked with site preparation and reclamation.Most recently, I have taken over the water hauling logistics for our Marcellus assets. My responsibilities include daily scheduling of trucks and loads, monitoring tank levels, and redirecting loads as required. Outside of the daily tasks, I have initialized water sharing and disposal agreements with third parties, renegotiated pricing and capacities with vendors, and increased truck time efficiency. In house, I have prompted and been involved in overhauling our water haul ticketing and reporting software including the design of databases and user interfaces. Show less
