  As a resident in the department of Anaesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Critical care , my job entails preoperative workup/ optimization of patients for surgeries, providing anaesthesia services along with critical care services during episodes of crisis and emergencies intraoperatively, pain management services intraoperatively and postoperatively - and overall medical management of patients undergoing surgeries in various disciplines.Pain management services include performance of nerve blocks and neuraxial blocks, and handling of multimodal analgesia for early recovery of patients from the operative insults.Critical care services include handling of intensive care units which handles cases of multiorgan dysfunction, critically ill and end of life care.Our specialty entails expertise in airway management, management of code blue and code 13 calls, invasive lines and multimodal monitoring.
