SG Helmets has used 50 years of technology and experience in making auto racing helmets and created a far superior football helmet for youths and adults. At only 1.8 pounds, less weight on a player's neck reduces the rotational accelerations of the brain as it jars inside the skull, and reduces fatigue on the player. The main technology however, is in the way the patented foam absorbs the impact and dispersing the energy throughout the helmet not only on the point of contact like competitor helmets do. This helmet was designed to minimize impact force on the head minimizing chance of concussion. It is proven that concussions have lifelong effects and in a lot of cases permanent brain damage this helmet should be a must for any football player at any level. Show less
