  During my tenure as an Intern at IndianOil SRPL, I had the privilege of working on a significant project titled "Energy Consumption Analysis and Energy Efficiency in Pipelines" under the mentorship of Mr Varghese Cheriyan, DGM of Operations. Throughout this endeavour, I gained invaluable insights into the inner workings of CPCL Pipelines while extensively studying topics related to Cathodic Protection, Fluid Dynamics, and pump optimization.Key Responsibilities and Achievements:1. Led and executed an in-depth analysis of energy consumption patterns within CPCL Pipelines, identifying areas of improvement and devising energy-saving strategies to enhance overall efficiency.2. Collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze relevant data, such as flow rates, pressure differentials, and environmental factors, to gain a comprehensive understanding of energy utilization.3. Applied the principles of Cathodic Protection to evaluate the effectiveness of existing corrosion prevention systems, ensuring the longevity and reliability of pipeline infrastructure.4. Utilized fluid dynamics expertise to assess pipeline efficiency, considering factors such as pressure drop, friction, and flow optimisation, thereby minimising energy losses and improving overall performance.5. Developed a theoretical interpretation of pump combinations for CTMPL, leveraging my specialized knowledge in pump optimization techniques to identify optimal configurations that maximize efficiency and operational output.6. Presented comprehensive reports and recommendations outlining energy-saving opportunities and proposing optimised pump combinations, contributing to the continuous improvement of CTMPL's operational processes.   During my tenure as an Intern at PPL, I had the opportunity to work on two significant projects, "Unit-wise Material and Energy Balance in Sulfuric Acid Plant" and "Efficiency of Heat Exchangers in Sulfuric Acid Plant," under the guidance of Mr Hari Abinash Sahoo, DGM of SAP. These projects allowed me to gain comprehensive insights into the process flow study of Sulfuric Acid Plant (SAP) and Captive Power Plant (CPP), while focusing on various aspects, including the efficiency of cooling towers and the isentropic efficiency of steam turbines.
