Silverlake Communication specialises in software that manages Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) for financial institutions, running on the AS/400 host.Initially brought on as a Systems Engineer to provide backroom support for the implementation of ATM system software, I quickly identified inefficiencies in the existing processes. I embarked on a project to standardise and consolidate the 30 different ATM software versions being used by our clients into one configurable version. Within four months, I successfully streamlined the integration process, significantly reducing complexity and enhancing operational efficiency.Following this achievement, I took on the role of Project Manager during a critical period of transition when the company experienced a change in management control and the mass resignation of eight technical staff members. Despite these challenges, I was able to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and improve support services for our 30 banking clients, even with a reduced team.My work at Silverlake Communication not only simplified the software integration process but also ensured that our clients received consistent, high-quality service.
