On a day to day basis, I sold tickets, recommended and discussed films with the general public, cleaned and seated screens, worked on the concessions stand, stocked up products, assisted with accounting for and unloading deliveries and cashed up tills. I monitored sales targets, advising where improvement was necessary, and was Team Member of the Month several times, and Team Member of the Year for 2011.       I set up and now run systems for dealing with and monitoring incoming event enquiries. I book open spaces and event rooms, programme band concerts including budgeting and promotion, arrange meetings for Safety Advisory Group and the Events Forum, including refreshments and room bookings. I have written two green lit proposals (for a civil ceremonies license in the Parks and for a Twitter account for the Events and Parks team) and am trained to accept card payments over the phone. I worked 2 weeks holiday cover as Personal Assistant for Interim Divisional Director of Tourism, Leisure and Culture, B&NES. I field phone calls and emails for my manager and keep track of upcoming events through setting up and running an events calendar. My main responsibilities are advising and assisting organisers of events for under 500 people, booking wedding photos in to Parade Gardens and managing events in the Botanical Gardens and the Temple of Minerva.       I worked for Bath Film Festival for 7 weeks on secondment from Bath and North East Somerset Council, as well as volunteering my time over the 09.00 - 17.00 office hours. I worked closely with the Producer to liaise with sponsors, update the website, liaise with visiting filmmakers and assisted them with travel arrangements and dealing with enquiries from the general public. I was in charge of monitoring ticket sales through via Bath Box Office and the venues we were working with, checking ticket allocations and assigning complimentary tickets where necessary. I also assisted in the marketing side of the festival, in particular with the digital marketing where I ran a regular tweet chat throughout the festival, kept the Twitter and Facebook accounts up to date and helped to market specific genres of films to groups who may be interested in them. I created information sheets about the strands and themes within the festival which were then used for marketing, and created A3 posters which were displayed outside venues to encourage audience to watch what we were screening there later that day/the following evening. While doing this I became well versed in using Google Docs (both spread sheets and word docs), Pic Monkey, Mail Chimp, Storify, Cahootify as well as adding to my skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Pages, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Photoshop.
