      My professional development book, Novels in Verse for Teens: A Guidebook with Activities for Teachers and Librarians, released in 2020 from ABC-CLIO/Libraries Unlimited (now Bloomsbury). My book covers why and how to use novels in verse with teens of all kinds, with a special attention to reaching marginalized teens and reluctant readers. Poetry and creative writing activities are included in a large reader's advisory section to further engage readers, along with CCSS and AASL standards for ease in lesson planning. Show less
