I founded Photo Mirage in 1972; after close to 50 years of commercial work, I've reimagined my role, centering on photo-art book design, writing, special projects in photojournalism and ethnic documentation, iPhoneography, workshops to benefit photographers and non-profit organizations, exhibitions, book signings and talks. Photo Mirage HD, a partnership between Sara Frances and Karl Arndt in still and video imaging, after close to 50 years of commercial services, has re-emerged in retirement from daily business to offering workshops, photo-art books, exhibitions, book signings and talks. new product launch of Karl Arndt's dolly track system for video, film and fusion industry Retired from daily studio photography services to the general public upon sale of facilities 2014, also releasing corporate status to become individual practitioners, after 45 years of commercial work. Remaining active in special projects, primarily of photo-writing hybrid nature and fine art book making.

  Member of small group of early Epson-vetted adopters of ink jet giclée printing equipment and techniques in the closed loop, managed Gemini system for artisan photographers in boutique studios. Mentors were called upon as evangelists demonstrating the quality, ease and reliability of image production with the greener than photo printing, self contained technology offered by the new Epson systems.
