  As a technician at a bowling centre my main task was to maintain bowling pinsetters and make sure that preventative maintenance was done daily, as well as fix any issues that occurred with the machines. This also includes using lane conditioners to oil the lanes, and certain power tools to fix broken parts.Secondary objectives was other general maintenance around the bowling centre such as replacing lights and general cleaning.

  As a trainee in Telstra I have learnt a lot over the past year about different forms of telecommunication data connections. Connections such as ADSL, BDSL, Fibre, Wireless connections as well as IP Telephony. We were then first point of contact for customers when they log faults they are experiencing on their networks. On most occasions we are looking for A "first time fix", if this could not be achieved then we are to have the resolution done before the Service Level Agreement Expired.Also during our traineeship we completed a course in Certificate 3 in Information, Digital media and Technology.   As a corporate support officer at iinet I am responsible for the support of Corporate grade telecommunications services. This involves troubleshooting WAN connections such as... - ADSL - SHDSL- Fibre (NBN and Corporate grade Ethernet)- VoIP- MPLS networks.I do also do some support on the following IT services.- Email- Web hosting- DNSI support lots of managed Cisco hardware, which includes configuring routers, switches and troubleshooting Cisco configs. I do also look at some Juniper hardware. In this role I take calls and emails on a daily basis from customers and troubleshoot a range of different problems. This may include engaging with upstream providers in resolving faults in their network. The role is high work and at times very challenging. Having to adapt to changes in the environment, managing time and constantly learning new products, has been critical to the this role. Show less
