My role, supervised by a Professional Engineer, involved performing tests on concrete and aggregates following all relevant standards, and executing trial batches for various research initiatives.

  In my position at CBM as a Technical Services Representative, I provided expert advice on mix designs and resolved issues with both plastic and hardened concrete to sales teams, contractors, and consultants. Educating colleagues and clients on the latest concrete standards and practices was a key part of my job, along with promoting our products to enhance the performance and profitability of concrete mixes.I also undertook responsibilities as a Mix Management Analyst, gaining extensive knowledge in concrete mix proportioning. This role enabled me to develop thousands of mix design variations, tailored to meet specific customer needs on-site.With increasing experience, I took on supervisory duties, overseeing a data entry clerk and a data analyst. Together, we conducted in-depth analyses of concrete performance, particularly focusing on compressive strength test results, and prepared statistical analysis reports.   In my role as Technical Services Engineer at the Association, I was responsible for overseeing the plant and truck certification programs and providing members with technical support for various issues. My duties also included teaching educational and certification courses like the Fundamentals of Concrete, ACI Field Testing, ACI Flatwork Technician/Finisher, ACI SCC Technician, and the NRMCA Pervious course. A significant part of my role involved engaging with members, contractors, consultants, and Municipalities, which I achieved through numerous technical seminars and presentations aimed at promoting best practices in concrete.A major focus of my work was the promotion of concrete pavement in Ontario, participating in projects from design to construction. I played a key role in identifying critical applications such as bus bays, turning lanes, intersections, and overlays, contributing to an increased market share for our members—a focus that continues in my Director role.Additionally, managing the Association's presence on social media platforms like LinkedIn (Concrete Ontario) and Twitter (@ConcreteOntario) was a crucial aspect of my role.
