Over the course of the year I was nominated for 5 different social media awards, highlighting my commitment to the role and engaging content creation. Throughout the duration of this role I also captained the university’s 2nd XI cricket team. Through this I was able to grow the sport within the university as well as lead and direct both on field and off field matches and training sessions. This saw us increase the number of members in the club by 20. In particular, my promotion of women's cricket helped to grow our female membership and establish a women's team for the first time. One example of this is the 'Movember' campaign, where I worked alongside other executives to help raise funds for the mental health and testicular cancer charity, initiating events and awareness of important issues. This culminated in a total of £21,784 being raised, with a personal contribution of over £400.Similarly, through my role I have been an ever-present member of the Student Union Council, engaging in debate and voting for the benefit of students at large. I regularly engage with members from across industries, helping them to upskill, take action and engage with new opportunities all while creating a more socially and environmentally just future for the business community as a whole.In our 2023 Membership Survey, 91.6% of Members had gained industry value from being in the BBN. 84% said they had worked with, collaborated with or done business with other members of the Network since joining and a further 79.2% said they’ve their increased positive social and environmental impact since joining the BBN.Since 2023, we’ve had over 4,500 people attend our events or complete our training, and we intentionally signpost towards organisations doing incredible things! This has included working closely on B Corp Impact Assessments, helping companies achieve certification and develop their purpose-driven goals. Similarly I have worked closely with materiality assessments and carbon transition plans, helping companies to understand the values they most align with and make the shift towards a net zero future. One sector I have been working closely with is the Live Events industry, helping to shift audience behaviour, and create sustainable strategies for large scale events. In 2024 I worked closely with likes of Boardmasters festival and Kendal Calling festival helping run their 'Leave Only Footprints' and 'Leave Nothing But Memories' campaigns respectively. Through this work we successfully tackled one of the biggest issues in the festival sector in tent waste, with 98.9% of tents being taken home from Kendal Calling. Show less

As part of my role I help to coordinate, organise and communicate new ideas, allowing a wider network of individuals to partake in climate action.This has included taking over the Manchester museum and creating youth orientated climate awareness sessions, working closely with Manchester City Council to develop their 2038 environmental visions and generating action within Manchester's younger population.
